I am located in Stockholm, Sweden, and have been working with Microsoft SQL Server since 1988, from version 1.0 and through all versions up to the current version. In 1997, I was awarded the title MVP (Most Valuable Professional), as the 7th SQL Server MVP in the world. As for SQL Server 2005, I have attended private sessions at Microsoft on several occasions since 2000 and I have worked with Yukon since beta 1, August 2003. In January 2004, I joined Solid Quality Learning, a group of recognized SQL Server experts, as an Associate Mentor. My SQL Server training experience goes back to 1991. For the most part of this time, I have worked for Sweden's biggest CTEC, Cornerstone Sweden AB. I also delivered internal SQL Server training for Microsoft in Sweden and Germany just prior to the release of version 7. I am co-author of the book “SQL Server 7.0 Unleashed” from SAMS, and I was also a regular writer and contributing editor for SQL Server Magazine from October 1999 through to June 2001. I regularly speak at conferences, seminars and workshops, including events organized by Microsoft. As a consultant, I have mainly focused on reviewing and as a discussion partner, for instance to elaborate on design issues. I also carry out more practical, "hands on", consultant assignments. I am also one of the developers and chief architects of the Db Maint software product, which is a product to facilitate maintenance of SQL Server installations.
